Hi, I am a teacher at Franklin High School. I wanted to thank you for sharing your story with all of us. I am so sorry that you and your family had to experience any of this. With that being said, I think you struck a chord with these kids today. It was a very powerful message. All of the students in my class were talking about it as were the kids in the halls walking by after your program. I am certain that many of them will think twice before drinking and driving or allowing a friend or loved one to get behind the wheel under the influence. Thank you again for spreading awareness about the impacts of DUI. You are doing good things.
Male student – 2 days after : I go to franklin. & I must say thank you for talking to us about driving under the influence. It really changed how I saw it. I definitely know that I will never drive if I am/was drinking. It really got to me about your son I’m sorry to hear about your loss. He seemed like a great kid. If you had a story like that to tell him I bet it would have changed him to. Thank you so much for talking to all of us about it.
Female student: I know I’m commenting two days later but the thought is still in my head of your speech. I myself told a few people the story, including my parents, and they were very moved by it. Thank you so much for coming to Franklin High School and sharing your life story with us. I hope what you said at our school changed people’s lives. God bless!
I know one thing and that it has stuck to many more people in that auditorium other than just me. I was expecting something that was boring and was going to fall asleep within 15 minutes but you had my attention the entire time. Very big eye opener! Again Thank you so much for coming in and sharing your story to all of us. You succeeded your goal of sticking to many people and helped reshape the future of many!
Thank you so much for coming to Franklin. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your story with others. I know my friends and I are all grateful that you came and shared your story with us. Keep doing what you’re doing because I’m sure it has and will save lives. What you do is truly inspiring. I came home today and told my parents all about the assembly because that’s how much it impacted me and the rest of my life. I will never forget what you did today for me and my fellow classmates. I am so thankful that you shared your story with me. I will never let a friend or family member drive while under the influence, and I never will either. You have a great heart and soul. God bless you and your family. Again, thank you so much!
Male student: Hello. I am a junior at Franklin and I just wanted to say that your story today was very moving and I think that all people should hear what you have to say. I think what you said today was a great lesson for not just high schoolers, but everyone to learn. So thank you again for being a great influence for me!
I just wanted to let you know that I was one of the students in the crowd today at Franklin and I just wanted to thank you so much for coming and sharing your story. I know by talking to my friends after today, your story was so inspiring and I really honestly can say that sitting there today and taking all of that in really hit me. I will never forget the assembly you put on today, not only did it put a huge impact on me but also all my friends. Thank you again for coming, it truly meant a lot to my classmates and I. God bless you and your family<3
Male student: The assembly really made me double think a lot about life and how I can live it. Thank you so much for coming to our school.
I just wanted to thank you for coming to Indiana High School yesterday! It was great! I am part of the S.A.D.D. club that helped organize the assembly, and I think it was the first anti drug and alcohol assembly we have ever had that was received well and without jest by the student body! I decided years ago that I wouldn’t drink and if I did I wouldn’t drive, but your message confirmed that decision! I have never met my paternal grandfather due to a drunk driving crash, and that bothers me. He died when my father was 10. I just wanted to thank you again for sharing your stroy! U had me balling at ur assembly in north clarion friday. Thank u for taking the time to do what u do.
I don’t do what I do to make anybody cry, I do it to try to make a difference in your lives. Many many people care. They care about you! Stay safe tonight and thru graduation season of parties. And help anybody else that you can to Never Drink and Drive. –vern–
im sayin its a good thing. it really affected my thought on a lot. my friend lost her fiance to a drunk driver. all my friends were planning a party for prom today and at lunch they changed their mind about a lot. we need more people to do this.
My name is ———- ——- and I am a student at Cambria Heights High School, in which you spoke at today. Let me begin by apologizing for the tragic loss of your son Brandon. I am very glad to see that you followed through with your life and have “found the silver lining” in the situation that occurred a few years back. It was a very emotional presentation that you put together and I believed that you did a fantastic job triggering everybody’s emotions the way you did. I also commend you on your ability to be so strong as you reflect and show this to an auditorium full of strangers. You put together the absolute best assembly I have ever been to concerning the problems with drugs, alcohol, etc. Thank you so much! Please continue to share your message with everybody you meet. Sir, thank you again and I’m still very sorry for your loss

hello, this is (North Clarion Student) and i wanted to thank you for your presentation today. it opened my eyes to how serious drinking and driving really is and i am very sorry for your loss. you have definatly changed the way i look upon others that drink and drive. your presentation helps to show me how many people are changed by teens driving under the influence. from now on i promised myself that i will never drink and drive and im not gonna let my friends make that horrible mistake either. i can’t thank you enough for helping my realize how serious this is
Thank you for coming to speak to us. It made a great impact in my life. =]
Tonight your presentation brought me back to realizing that I don’t want to realize how much is at stake before it’s too late to change it. I’m sure my story isn’t unlike many that you hear from doing these talks, but I hope that it only strengthens your resolve to keep going. People were listening to you. You held an auditorium of college students captive for an hour. They got the message and I know your hope is to keep them from having stories like Brandon’s or my brother’s come true in their own lives.
Tonight you spoke of faith and I hope yours continues to sustain you to KEEP GOING.
